Position Overview

We are looking for a Mid-Level Legal Assistant to join our Switzerland Representative Office in Bern or Zurich and support the Legal team with a range of legal and administrative matters.

Job Description

The Legal Assistant will independently handle routine legal work within a specific area of responsibility in accordance with applicable legal policies and processes and will be responsible for the quality, standardization and efficiency of the work.

1. Legal Environment Support

  • Conduct legal research.
  • Monitor developments in global legislation and law enforcement.
  • Prepare summaries in accordance with the requirements for legal environment building.
  • Develop materials to support legal awareness, including training materials, videos, promotional content and guides.

2. Legal Review & Legal Opinions

  • Conduct routine legal reviews in accordance with relevant policies, processes and guidelines.
  • Support the issuance of legal opinions as required.

3. Legal Disputes

  • Assist with evidence investigation.
  • Collect, organize and prepare evidence materials.
  • Track the progress of legal cases.

4. Knowledge Management

  • Assist with legal knowledge management.
  • Support project retrospectives.
  • Support enablement activities.

Requirements

  • Ability to independently perform tasks such as legal research, knowledge organization and coordination with external law firms in accordance with external legal requirements and corporate management standards.
  • Ability to assist the Legal Affairs Supervisor with external communication and negotiations, contract reviews, internal training and other related work.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a Swiss university.
  • Fluent German.
  • Approximately 2 years of legal work experience.
